Davide Bernaro was born in Ravenna, Italy, the 02/07/1970.
|
I studied ethnic percussion with:
- Académia do Ritmo Afroeira directed by Paolo
Caruso , with which I played and studied ensemble rhythms from Brazil,
Africa and Cuba. I played shows with the band throughout
Italy from 1998 up to 2002. In the same period i attended various
workshops held by percussionist Massimo “Ninad” Carrano
(trick percussions) and Giovanni Imparato (afrocuban
folklore).
- stage for afrobrazilian rhythms held by the world-renown percussionist
and teacher Dudu Tucci in São Salvador
de Bahia (Brazil). During the same journey i played several
shows (Lavagem do Bonfim, Pelourinho, etc.) in Salvador with the Bloko
Kizumba ensemble, led by saxophonist Bira Reis (Olodum,
Virginia Rodrigues, etc.).
- pandeiro studies in Bahia with Paulinho da Bateria,
representative percussionist of Salvador “old-style” players
- Stage with Indian percussionist Trilok Gurtu and
Armenian percussionist Arto Tuncybocian in Ravenna
